DIM (diindolylmethane) is a metabolite of a phytochemical called indole-3-carbinol found in cruciferous vegetables such as broccoli, brussels sprouts and cabbage, and can be used to support healthy oestrogen metabolism. Calcium D-glucarate helps to support the excretion of toxins, including oestrogens.
Studies have shown that DIM helps support healthy hormone balance in both men and women.
DIM is a lipophilic (oil soluble) compound. Our DIM product therefore includes phosphatidylcholine for enhanced absorption and uptake into the cell.
This product includes calcium D-glucarate – a compound which supports an important liver detoxification pathway called glucuronidation. This pathway is particularly important for helping with the elimination of hormones and fat soluble toxins.
During glucuronidation the compound to be eliminated is attached (i.e. conjugated) to glucuronic acid – it can then be excreted through the bile or urine. Calcium d glucarate provides a substrate for this pathway FDA-inspected facility, under current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) regulations
